I have also received an unsolicited sms from this number, my carrier is Vodaphone. I have reported this to the ACMA and hope to receive a reply from them as to how they can legally just send an unauthorised messgae nad then charge you for it.

I ahve had 4 unwanted and unaurthorised SMS messages from a number 19990900 on the 27th of each month about 2.00 at the cost to me of $5.00. I had no idea so I just deleted these messages. I ne ver replied. Then this month I looked at my Virgin user bill and discovered the cost, no wonder my pre-paid ran down quicjly. After contacting Virgin Mobile I was told that the messages were from Mobile Messenger (Telstra????) on number 1300767306. I have never head of mobile messsenger and have certainly never authorised any contact and certainly not at $5 a pop. I have since been able to contact an this automated call centre to stop the SMS but how do I get my money back? These people are sharks and theives and if I had not been able to access my bill on line I would never have known. It's totally corrupt.
